The path to the priesthood is a true adventure of grace: a journey where the heart learns to listen, to serve and to love like Christ, the Good Shepherd.
In our seminary, each stage of formation has its own rhythm and beauty, helping each young man to grow in freedom, maturity and joyful self-giving.
1. Preparatory Stage
It is the first year, a time to clarify and strengthen the priestly vocation.
It is a year of prayer, community life and fraternity, where each seminarian learns to let go of personal ideas about the vocation and open his heart to the voice of God.
It focuses on creating a life of prayer and brotherhood that will sustain the entire formation journey. The year is lived in Alcalá de Henares, together with seminarians from Madrid and Alcalá, reinforcing discernment and fraternity.
In this stage we have Nico and Alejandro, taking their first steps in faith and formation.

2. Discipleship Stage
It usually lasts two years and aims to verify and strengthen the vocational choice through discipleship.
Here the seminarian lives the interior life through following Jesus, grows in virtues, dedicates himself to the study of Philosophy and actively participates in social and charitable activities.
In this stage we have Álvaro and Carlos, deepening their spiritual and pastoral life.

3. Configuration Stage
It usually lasts three years and is devoted to the assimilation and identification with the being and ministry of the diocesan priest.
The seminarian is configured to Christ, the Good Shepherd, integrating all aspects of his personality in the choice of the presbyterate.
He deepens in prayer, personal communion with God, the study of Theology and on weekends he dedicates himself to pastoral work in the parish to which he is assigned.
In this stage we have Andrés, in his third year of the seminary:

Diego, Xavi, in the fourth year

And Andoni and Miguel, in the sixth year, growing in experience and pastoral dedication.

4. Pastoral Stage
It is the year of pastoral insertion and of final preparation for the presbyterate.
It is the synthesis of the formation journey, where usually the orders of the diaconate are received and, at the end, the priesthood.
It is about living the total giving of life and service to all, consolidating everything learned in the previous stages.
Here we have David, Ion and Manu, living the mission of serving with the heart of a shepherd.
