The path to the priesthood is a true adventure of grace: a journey where the heart learns to listen, to serve, and to love like Christ, the Good Shepherd.
In our seminary, each stage of formation has its own rhythm and beauty, helping each young man grow in freedom, maturity, and joyful self-giving.
1. Propedeutic Stage
It is the first year, a time to clarify and strengthen the priestly vocation.
It is a year of prayer, community life, and fellowship, where each seminarian learns to leave behind his own ideas about vocation and open his heart to the voice of God.
It focuses on creating a life of prayer and fraternity that will sustain the entire formative path. The year is lived in Alcalá de Henares, together with seminarians from Madrid and Alcalá, reinforcing discernment and fraternity.
In this stage we have Nico and Alejandro, taking their first steps in faith and formation.

2. Discipleship Stage
It normally lasts two years and aims to verify and strengthen the vocational choice through discipleship.
Here the seminarian lives the interior life by following Jesus, grows in virtues, dedicates himself to the study of Philosophy and actively participates in social-charitable activities.
In this stage we have Álvaro and Carlos, deepening in spiritual and pastoral life.

3. Configurative Stage
It normally lasts three years and is devoted to the assimilation and identification with the being and ministry of the diocesan presbyter.
The seminarian is configured to Christ, the Good Shepherd, integrating all aspects of his personality into the choice for the presbyterate.
He deepens in prayer, relationship with God, the study of Theology, and on weekends devotes himself to pastoral work in the parish where he is assigned.
In this stage we have Andrés, in his third year of seminary:

Diego, Xavi, in fourth year

And Andoni and Miguel, in sixth year, growing in experience and pastoral dedication.

4. Pastoral Stage
It is the year of pastoral insertion and of definitive preparation for the presbyterate.
It is the synthesis of the formative journey, where the orders of the diaconate are normally received and, at the end, the priesthood.
It is about living the total gift of life and service to all, consolidating everything learned in the previous stages.
Here we have David, Ion, and Manu, living the mission of serving with a pastor’s heart.
