The family: domestic Church
Christ wanted to be born and grow up in the Holy Family of Joseph and Mary. From its origins, the family has been the first nucleus of Christian life, where the faith is taught, lived, and transmitted. Every believing home is a domestic Church, a place where the love of God is first preached through mutual self-giving and daily example.
Fathers and mothers, first evangelizers
Parents are the first preachers of the faith. With their words and above all with their example, they teach their children to live in God.
They foster vocations and help to discover the personal call of each member of the family. Holiness is learned at home, in patience, forgiveness, work, and daily prayer.

Community of faith, hope, and charity
The Christian family is a communion of persons, which reflects the communion that exists in God between Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Through prayer, the sacraments, and daily life, members exercise the baptismal priesthood, offering their life as a sign of love and self-giving. Here one learns to be generous, patient, and to love without reserve.

Image of God the Creator
As God creates and educates, the family participates in His work: to procreate, educate, and form in love. Each home is an image of God, responsible for transmitting life, love, and hope. The family’s mission begins by first preaching the love of God among its members, in daily self-giving and mutual care.
