The first home of the vocation: the family
Every vocation begins at home. Not in a seminary, nor in a convent, but in the warmth of a family that prays, loves, and serves.
There one learns to say “yes,” to look beyond oneself, to discover that life becomes great when it is given away.
-
The family is the first seminary of the heart.
-
Where one is taught to speak with God naturally.
-
Where one learns that faith is not theory, but shared life.
The community: cradle where the call grows
No one discerns alone.
The parish community, the group, the movement, are places where faith becomes a living experience.
There one discovers one’s gifts, shares concerns, and finds concrete models of self-giving.
👉 The community does not replace the voice of God, but helps to recognize it.
👉 It accompanies, encourages, sustains… and prays.
A community that prays for vocations makes them be born.
A Church of vocations
We need families and communities that live their own vocation with joy, knowing that this is already testimony.
When a marriage lives in unity, when a priest serves with passion, when a religious sister smiles with faith, they are preaching with their life.
Sowing vocations in our environments
Vocation is not a topic of the past nor only for “others.”
It is the great adventure of every Christian: discovering how God wants to love the world through you.
🌾 Parents, catechists, priests, friends…
Let’s talk about vocation naturally.
Let’s look at our young people with eyes of faith:
“This boy would make a good priest.”
“That girl has a great heart for service.”
And let’s not just think it: let’s pray for them.
Every prayer is a seed in God’s field.
